Train on the job

Southwark residents continue to benefit from new jobs and training opportunities as a result of the Bermondsey Spa redevelopment project.
To date Rok building contractors have employed 5 apprentices to the following trades; bricklayer; plumbers; 2 painters and decorators; 1 carpenter and joiner and have also employed a full-time administrator. These positions have all been taken up by local people. Rooff Ltd have also employed 1 site management trainee and an apprentice carpenter to work on site D.
There are more opportunities for apprenticeships, one contractor is looking for:
- 1 personal assistant
- 1 trainee site manager
- 1 trainee quantity surveyor
